Managing a contest
The contest administrator sets up the contest including those classrooms which will be participating in the contest. The contest administrator can ask for help in getting a contest started by having individual teachers administer their respective classrooms.
Setting up and managing a contest is easy and requires only a small amount of information to be entered into the site. The most important aspect of the role is to organize those teachers who would like to have their classrooms participate. A typical contest will have a contest administrator and between 2 to 5 teachers involved. A single teacher can alone manage a contest between his or her direct classrooms. Math teachers are parcticular well suited since the graph lessons are written for a middle school math curricumlum. Reading teachers will also work well.
Teachers managing a classroom
A contest administrator can invite another teacher to join the contest and administer just their own classroom. As a person sets up the contest using the contest wizard, to become the Contest Administrator, there is a point where that person can invite other teachers to join the contest. Those other teachers will become Classroom Administrators.
