BikeWithMe School Survey Service

Data Gathering

Through the course of running a riding contest, mileage data is collected to track each team's progress. But in addition to collecting mileage data for contests, BikeWithMe also offers schools and districts the ability to collect other types of data to help school administrators better understand the bike commuting situation surrounding their schools. There are currently two surveys available online.

Teacher Commuting Tally

At the beginning of a contest, the teacher can take a commuting tally to help the whole class (and anyone else) understand how students are getting to and from school each day. The tally is taken over a 5-day period and then a graph is made of this data as well.

Parent School Commuting Patterns and Preferences

Also available and built into the school biking contest service is a survey for parents to take which asks them questions regarding their attitudes towards biking to school. The school has the option of requiring or not whether parents must take this survey in order for their child to participate within the bike contest.
